Typography development. With the artwork finalised I began refining the label design. I used the font Pieces of Eight for the initial design but it was not quite what I wanted. I used elements of Pieces of Eight and a font called Remires as a starting point to create bespoke letters in illustrator.
Originally the octopus and sea dragon were small elements in the background. The octopus became a central part of the typography.
